Hello MDR Fans and Visitors!
It has been a long road to get to the point where we are now and I am sure there is going to be an even longer one ahead. I am excited to see where this road leads us. We went into the studio with the mindset of not coming out until we had something that we all could be happy with. After months of writing with the idea that music doesn’t have to be confined in just one domain of a genre’s writing process we emerged with “The Current Disconnect”. I hope that our many different musical tastes show through our blended art into a musical canvas that enables people to experience our music. Like anything worth doing there were times that things just didn’t seem to come together but then something would click and everything would fall into place. At the end of this process we ended up with a lot of songs that didn’t make it to this album. Not because they were not of the same quality but rather that they just didn’t quite fit with the album as a whole. Every song for “The Current Disconnect” was chosen because it fit with the over arching concept of the album. We let this album “become” what it was going to instead of forcing it. The whole album tells a story from beginning to end. We have plenty of songs to be released at a later time but that will be something MDR fans can look forward to knowing there will be more albums. We can talk of future albums at a different time because right now I am looking forward to experiencing this album with all the MDR fans at our shows.
